ABOUT THE ARTIST Chetan Katigar was born in the state of Karnataka. For me, art is something that does not have a simple definition. The main goal I want to achieve is to show love with the things I create. My art is my voice, a powerful interpretation of my deepest thoughts, hidden emotions, and strongest desires. The images I create are coined from personal experiences fears, and interests. These ideas and experiences are best perceived through art and not in spoken form. My contemporary art is everyday objects that I choose personally. I like the challenge of trying to capture the definition of an object by accurately translating lines, shapes, tints, and the overall level of material. My goal as an artist is to embrace a new vision through painting. I see painting as a new challenge and envision many possibilities in the continued development of my work.
