"Every Child is an Artist. The Problem is How to Remain an Artist once we Grow up"-Pablo Picasso.

SK Sahajahans work explores his physical environment through figurative contexts. Using the texture and emotional faces of her subjects, Untitled features intertwined figures that illustrate heterosexual relationships and seemingly respond to current events. Despite a heavy socio-political climate, Sahajahan produces affable and calm characters, their uncoordinated expressions acting as a relief from the stress or trauma of the usual.
SK Sahajahan is a contemporary painter whose practice aims to connect the immediate physical world with current events in the media. As such, his paintings describe a specific consciousness constructed not only by the culture in which he lives but also through his specific fantasies and illusions incited by the violence of our world. His themes are textually and behaviorally expressive, as they are presented with layered patterns and references to symbolic figures from Indian culture.
