ABOUT THE ARTIST
A Visual Journey From Tradition To Contemporaneity - The tradition of Indian folk art is the pivot of inspiration for my work. I have tried to explore and develop a form through its deep-rooted collective consciousness the strong element of narration in Mughal miniature, as well as the folk Pata Chitra like Sautal Pata, have nurtured develop a visual language. The Kalighat Pats and the Bat Tala in the colonial era have led me to understate the contemporary subject.
