The late Rajeshwar Nyalapalli was known for his mythologically inspired paintings and his works were largely based on gods, goddesses, and the mystical diagram, Sri Yantra. As the artist admits, the influence of Hindu scriptures, philosophies, and Puranas on his paintings is ironic. For him, the themes related to man's feelings, internal struggles, and the numerous ways of approaching them were the most attractive aspects of mythological stories.
