ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a Taslim resident of Partapur a small town near the Banswara district of Rajasthan. Banswara is known for its tribal heritage and culture. This influences my life and imagination as it is very simple but expressive. The tribal expression of arts and communication thus has become a part of my thinking too.

I am a post-graduate in fine arts and pursuing art not as my hobby but as the soul dream of my life. I am determined to establish myself as a contemporary artist with my style based on imagination.

I am working in acrylic, oil, charcoal, ink, and different print techniques like collagraph, etching, and woodcut, and having around 500 works done in these mediums. Besides this, I have more than 5000 imaginative drawings which are to be expressed in a suitable medium. My work is based on a semi-conscious state of mind influenced by the simplicity of the environment prevailing around me. The series dreamland is a new expression in me which is instantaneously expressed as and when they hit my mind, I find these figures expressing the taslim hidden deep inside my soul. I am hereby attaching 10 photographs of the work done in the above-said medium.
