The Compulsion for Self-Expression

A painter by training and temperament, I also love experimenting with artistic installations and art direction in audiovisual and creative events.

I have held many solo exhibitions and participated in several prestigious exhibitions in India and abroad, my paintings occupy a place of honor in renowned galleries and private collections. I get the greatest joy from expressing myself on canvas. Paintings are my favorite activity through which I express myself to everyone. I believe that a silent painting expresses itself in a universal language and silent sound resides in the heart of an individual in its way.

Graduate in Government Art. Faculty of Arts and Crafts, Calcutta, first class in 1983.
