ABOUT THE ARTIST
Indian miniature paintings have greatly influenced Som Das and are the main inspiration behind his colorful creations. The society during the Mughal period and the people's ways of life during that period have had a deep impression on it. Current society, the environment, and the daily lives of the people around her also influence her. Her paintings portray different types of human beings and their varied natures in subdued colors, making each work of art more attractive and expressive. What Som Das likes to do most is paint people in different situations, and each piece of art emerges with a unique emotion similar to the artist's thoughts.
