Head of the Sculpture Department, Indian College of Art and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, 1958-59. Principal, Indian college of Art and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, 1964-69. Reader, Department of Sculpture, Kala-Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, 1986-1999. Visiting Fellow, Department of Plastic Art, Faculty of Visual Art, Banaras Hindu University, 1990. Invited to Yugoslavia and London for illustrated talks on sculpture projects. Awarded Abanindra Puroskar by the Government of West Bengal in 2005.
