Ananta Mandal
BORN EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS SELECTED SOLO EXHIBITIONS SELECTED GROUP EXHIBITIONS PARTICIPATIONS HONORS AND AWARD ABOUT THE ARTIST Ananta Mandal was born in 1983. He spent his childhood in Chakdaha, a small town in West Bengal. After completing her Bachelor of Visual Arts graduation in the discipline of Graphic Design and Applied Arts with First Class from the Government. College of Arts and Crafts, University of Calcutta, Calcutta. In 2007, she moved to Mumbai, India. She currently lives and works here. During her first stage, the boy began painting Indian mythological characters and legendary personalities from photographic calendars and various books. Later, in childhood, his artistic sense was awakened when she came across a series of books by old masters, called THE GREAT ARTISTS. He realized that only with colors and a brush you can create another world. She accepted this as a challenge and from that day on he began the journey that continues to this day. After her studies, she enrolled in the most prestigious institute, Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Calcutta. This academic journey gave him a platform to fully indulge his passion for painting. Since his participation in the most prestigious exhibition of Harmony Art, Mumbai in 2008, his excellent achievements include the First Place Award. His paintings are best known for their realistic urban landscapes. His brushwork speaks of many things: the hustle and bustle of modern urban life, figurative movements, festive seasons, seascapes and lakes, the time endured by ancient steam locomotives, the tropical desert, and the many states of the mood of nature; where the artist brilliantly captures fluid moments. Mandal has continuously supported being a part of charity art exhibitions to raise funds for numerous NGOs and charitable foundations in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Dubai, London, etc. These organizations are committed to raising funds for fighting cancer, women's education, child rights, and needs, fundraising art exhibition for Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust by Priya Dutt, NGO CRY, Indian Society Against Cancer, Cancer Patients Assistance Association, SNF Development Center. Mandal's artworks are also featured in many art auctions to help raise funds for social causes.
